The STL is a resource person. Though not an expert, I have knowledge and experience that help me to help teachers and tutors. I work collaboratively with teachers to facilitate the development of their skills and understanding and in turn, that of the tutors and students.

To upskill / empower teachers and tutors.
Help find / make up appropriate assessment tools.
Help with assessment of students.
Help interpret assessment data.
Help work out Individual Education Plans (from small variations of regular programs to whole programs).
When necessary write / create needed educational materials.
Make up sample programs, timetables and / or resources for teachers to consideer in relation to the needs of their tutors and students.
Connect teachers and tutors with outside agencies (eg. Centre for Inclusive Schooling staff –Teams in Learning Difficulties, Autism, Speech and Language, Disabilities).
Research information on teacher / tutor/ student educational needs.
Present professional development sessions to teachers and tutors.
Take part in reviews of Individual Education Plans.
